Novel in Progress:

Think a Jewish Eloise, who, instead of taking up residence at Manhattan's Plaza Hotel, turns heads and causes havoc
in a 1945 Brooklyn walkup and you've got the makings of "I'm Frances," Rita's new in-work novel. Remember radio? Mayor LaGuardia reading the Sunday morning funnies, smiling Buster Brown inside your shoes, and Danny Kaye musicals. All observed through the sharp eyes of young Frances, trying to make sense of her mother's sudden death, while a beloved childless neighbor fights her aunt for legal custody.
